![]() "Easter
Babies" is a soft, sweetly illustrated story that teaches children to
count from one to 12 with cuddly animals such as a newborn foal, lambs
and chicks. Plus, the tale offers creative sentences for young ones
learning how to use their words: "In grassy meadows seven lambs frolic
on frisky feet." Perhaps
a good Easter-morning activity would be to go out into the backyard
with your child or take a walk and try to identify and count the
critters you see. ![]() ![]() Reprinted with permission from Easter Babies, 2010 by Dan Andreasen, Sterling Children's Books 'Easter Babies: A Springtime Counting Book' [ages 3 and up] By Joy Hulme; illustrated by Dan Adreasen (Sterling Books; $12.95) ![]() Kristen Schott is OC Family's children's book editor.
