Allison is mom to two kids who will do just about anything to postpone doing homework, a newly adopted dog with enough energy to fuel a small town, and a husband who travels constantly and loses everything.
Allison decided a few years ago to leave her cushy part-time, well-paying consulting gig to follow her passion for green living and founded BuyGreen.com. Although she now works ten times as much for no pay, she occasionally has glimpses of hope that her business of passion will help her green the world – and someday make a little money, too.
Allison tries to live green every day but is far from perfect – downfalls include a love of Diet Coke and an obsession with Costco. She makes up for these transgressions by composting in her backyard and picking up other people’s trash. If you run into her, you do not need to apologize for drinking water from a plastic bottle. It’s okay; she doesn’t expect you to be perfect either (but she does hope you will listen to her case for exchanging that disposable bottle for a reusable one).
Allison has a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and an MBA, but on most days, feels like she can’t speak clearly or figure out how to work a spreadsheet. Allison lists her greatest accomplishment in life as cranking out an A on her Cost Accounting final and giving birth to her second child the next day.
Most of the time, you can find Allison juggling way too many things and running around in a panic trying to find her keys.
