Math Zoom Academy to host a math camp during winter break
When it comes to winter break, most people decide to take an actual break from any sort of intellectual stimulus. Yet, for those who simply love mathematics and want to prepare for spring academic competitions, head to Math Zoom Academy’s Winter Boot Camp.
Dec. 24 to 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. students will attend camp at Math Zoom’s Irvine headquarters. And yes, even though the camp takes place during winter break and on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, many teens attend.
Since 2006, Math Zoom Academy has seen their attendance grow exponentially every year.
“We’ve been very happy to see the positive response from parents and kids to our Winter Boot Camp,” said Kelley Ren, Math Zoom Academy program director. “The campers choose to stay in the camp longer to have more fun with math and other kids! They enjoy working with well known math coaches and motivated peers in a highly dynamic and interactive environment, and gain so much satisfaction by having a brainy feast for the holiday.”
The camp agenda includes problem solving, discussion, group activities and outdoor recreation. In addition, practice sessions of written and oral problems.
The deadline to register is Dec. 8 and tuition for the full five days is $750. For more information and to register, call 949-679-8989 or visit their website.
