LePort Montessori School recently opened its third Irvine location with a new preschool campus located at the Orchard Hills Village Center.
Programs start for children as young as 18 months with a “Mommy and Me Montessori” program, and offers part-day, full-day and extended day choices for 2 to 6-year-old children.
As of Feb. 1, the preschool will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Grand Opening event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. Balloon artists and face painting will be available for children to enjoy while parents explore the classrooms and learn more about the program.
Traditional Montessori principles will be taught to children so they can develop personal, life and social skills, while learning how to read, write and basic arithmetic in preschool.
Currently, enrollment is full, but it highly encouraged for families interested to tour the schools and be placed on a waitlist to guarantee a spot for the fall.
“The parent demand at Orchard Hills has been very strong,” said Monica LePort, head of operations at LePort Schools. “As we open this week, our school is basically full for this school year but we are now accepting waitlist placements for fall enrollment, at the Orchard Hills campus and for our other three Irvine locations, including the new LePort school, scheduled to open in September, at One Technology Park in Irvine Spectrum.”
