Families will be able have LEGOLAND fun all day and night beginning April 5
Carlsbad will soon be home to the first-ever North American LEGOLAND Hotel. Beginning April 5, guests can enjoy all-day fun at the LEGOLAND amusement park and then unwind in one of the themed-rooms at the hotel.
The hotel is designed to immerse families in the LEGOLAND experience. Complete with a spectacular dragon-guarded entrance, the hotel includes a themed play area, a pool area, endless entertainment for kids and, of course, countless interactive LEGO features. Opening day is April 5 however, the hotel is offering pre-opening packages that you can book now.
Each room is themed and decorated accordingly; giving guests the option of a Pirate, Kingdom or Adventure styles. Complete with two separate sleeping areas, the rooms provide a queen-size bed for adults, and an additional kids corner, featuring a trundle bed, bunk bed and TV. Included in the room cost, LEGOLAND Hotel guests will enjoy exclusive access to select rides and attractions at the park.
“LEGOLAND Hotel is built for children and is geared to maximize the family experience…LEGOLAND Hotel is a great compliment and extension to the experience that guests enjoy when they visit the family theme park, water park and aquarium,” said general manager of LEGOLAND Hotel, Frank Idris.
In anticipation of the grand opening, the hotel is holding a National Junior Concierge contest. The contest calls for kids ages 8 – 12 who have a passion for LEGOs, theme parks and adventure. The hotel will choose six winners, granting each a free weekend at the resort with their family. Applicants can apply online now through February 14, and the winners will be announced on Feb. 28. California Resort’s General Manager Peter Ronchetti announced other additions to LEGOLAND will be coming in 2013. Beginning March 7, LEGOLAND will introduce “a heroic new attraction is arriving to LEGOLAND California as LEGO Legends of Chima is brought to life in an exclusive 4D movie experience,” said Ronchetti.
Also promised is a new Star Wars feature to be revealed in June. All of which Ronchetti said will “definitely enhance our guest experience.”
