![]() > Set your priorities During this time of year, we often find ourselves so busy that we forget the true meaning of the holidays. It’s a good exercise to ask yourself early in the season what kind of holiday celebration you want for you and your family. Write it down. Make a list, and prioritize those events and activities that you absolutely want to do. If you’re having trouble refining this list, just ask your kids what they remember best from last year. Let this list be your guide when asked to make commitments and compromises. If spending time with family is a top priority, then don’t be afraid to turn down that party invitation that will take you away from loved ones. If teaching your kids the true meaning of giving is important, then gather the family together and brainstorm some volunteering ideas. |
