SOLUTION OF THE MONTH

Perhaps you vowed last month that 2008 would be the year to get organized.

Well, here’s an easy tip that will help you keep that resolution and keep your child’s closet from getting too out of control: Buy a clear plastic bin with matching lid and place 1 on the floor of each child’s closet. When you’re putting laundry away, take a moment to assess what fits and what does not, and place the outgrown items in the plastic bin. When the bin is full, label it with the size range (i.e. “18mos-2T”) and store it in the attic until you’re ready to donate or pass along to a friend.

This simple task will not take any extra time and will keep your child’s drawers and closet from bursting at the seams. It’s particularly handy if you have very young children who seem to be outgrowing their clothes overnight!
