We have two main goals: One is to provide a social and uplifting environment for moms and their kids, and the other is to contribute to the community through charitable contributions and volunteer work. > What is your most memorable moment while being involved in your MOMS Club? My most memorable moment is when I attended the Founders Day Luncheon in February. Once I attended the event and sat in a room with over 1,200 women from all over Southern California, it really hit me that I was proud to be in the MOMS Club. I sat at a table with women I had barely known one year earlier but now considered my friends. We were all there because we are dedicated moms. > How many members are in the club? 55 > When was the club founded? 1984 > What event or weekly meeting do the members really look forward to? Some moms really look forward to the Moms Night Out we have once a month. Some moms enjoy doing crafts with their kids. Others really like the fun field trips – Tanaka Farms, the Santa Ana Zoo and touring a fire station, for example – that we plan every month. > What events do you have planned for this month and August? Besides our almost-daily park days, we will be having a Beach Day field trip this month, and we will be visiting the Orange County Great Park in August to ride in the hot-air balloon. |
