![]() The following thoughts are from first-graders in Ms. Oliver’s class at Panorama Elementary School in Santa Ana: “I am thankful for computers because I can play games on them.” –Ezekiel “I am thankful for my dog because he keeps me company.” – Joseph “I am thankful for soccer because it makes me run fast.” –Zane “I am thankful for my body because it helps me work and grab stuff.” –Christina “I am thankful for the Army because they fight so that we can be free.” –Andrew “I am thankful for Ms. Oliver because she helps us learn more stuff.” –Bradley “I am thankful for my bird because he sings.” –Hana “I am thankful for the world because it is my home.” –Makenzie “I am thankful for my parents because they protect me from strangers.” –Alex And here are some gems from Mrs. Silverman’s second-grade class at Panorama Elementary: “I am thankful my brother can hear now. He has a cochlear implant that makes things easier for him. He signs when he takes it out.” –Colin “I am thankful I live in America. I am free to say anything I want (except bad words). And other countries have war. We don’t have war in our country.” –Troy “I am lucky to have a warm and cozy home with a big backyard and animals.” –Olivia “I am thankful for my friends. They never tease me and they play soccer and handball with me.” –Keanu “I am thankful for the earth. Plants and trees give us oxygen. They are also a home for animals.” –Jordan “I am thankful for the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States. We all use the same money, we can choose our president and we work together.” –Jett “I am thankful to be an American.
