Kid Speak
Untitled Page
Every month, we pose a thoughtful question to local schoolchildren to spark their wonderful imaginations. Here’s what they have to say:
If your Dad were a superhero, who would he be and why?
“He would be Basketball Man, because he is good at basketball. He would
have gadgets like a basketball that never misses a shot and springs
that can make him dunk.” Trevor, 8
“He’d be Barbecue Dad. He would have cool gadgets, like bombs shaped
like bones from steak, slippery barbecue sauce and spices that make
people sneeze and don’t pay attention.” Vicki, 9
“He would be Salsa Specialist. His gadgets are jalapeño peppers, bell
peppers and jalapeño hot sauce. The jalapeño hot sauce is
super-secret.” Gina, 9
“He would be Computer Commando. His gadgets would be a laptop, a
charger, a wire that can stop any time bomb and a pair of pliers. He
would stop the evil Electronic Man from exploding the world with a time
bomb.” Adeline, 9
“He would be Super Skater, because he skates very well. He would skate
the road of justice. He could skate up to a villain and put him in his
rightful place.” Elle, 9
“He would be Dental Dad. He would have braces knuckles, teeth bombs, floss rope and sticky toothpaste. He can knock the villains out with his braces knuckles.” Peter, 8
“He would be Golf Man. He would have golf tees that burn the criminal’s
eyes. Golf Man can’t fly, but he can do other amazing things.” Kelly, 8
“He would be Plumbing Man. He would have a Plumbing Mobile with a
Wrench Master. If I was in danger, the Plumbing Man would save me.”
Nathan, 10
