The following thoughts are from third-graders from Mrs. Christina Vanian's class at Mariners Christian School, in Costa Mesa: “What do you love about your teacher?”  “My favorite thing about Miss V. is that she gives us nicknames. Mine is ‘Junior Jack.’ I love my teacher.” Lexi, 8 “The thing I love most about my teacher is her contagious smile. Another thing I love most about her is her loving heart.” Riley, 8 “She teaches me how to write stories fantastically. Carson, 8 “My favorite thing about my teacher is that when we get outstanding in a specialty class, we get to dance with a stuffed animal that sings.” Brett, 8 “My favorite thing about my teacher is whenever we do something good, we get to do fun things. Like dancing to a singing bear, penguin, monkey, crocodile, reindeer, gopher, palm tree, ginger bread man and candy cane.” Cole, 9 “What I love most about my teacher is that she hugs us and is a good storyteller.” Natalie, 8 “What I most love about Miss V. is when she dances around with us. She’s so joyful all the time, and she is my friend.” Hailey, 9 “The thing I love most about Miss V. is hearing her lovely voice and expression while reading ‘The Tale of Despereaux.’” Danielle, 8 “What I love most about Miss V. is that she cares for me. I know that, because she hugs me every day.” Erin, 8 “I love when she makes math so fun. She makes it fun when she acts out skits and lets us use whiteboards.” Allison, 8 Compiled by Ashley Eliot
