What will they say next?

The following thoughts come from you, our readers. Each month, we print the best ones (scroll down past Emily's photo), and one lucky youngster wins a special prize.

Emily, age 2

November's winner:
• “I’m the tramp!” Lauren said as her last marble went in the winning spot on the Wahoo game board. She meant “champ.”
Lauren, age 8, Cypress

And the best of the rest:

• We walked into a self-serve yogurt place. My son Isaac asked if he could have “ … chocolate and gorilla ice cream.”
Isaac, 4, La Habra

• My husband was sitting with our son, making sure he ate his lunch. He ate all the fruit and crackers but only a few bites of his bologna and said he was full. My husband suggested to him, “Why don’t you finish your bologna?” My son explained, “Daddy, I’m full of bologna!”
Mikey, 4, Anaheim

• My daughter has been asking me for a dog for months. Finally, when she asked this last time, I told her that we need to move to a house with a backyard. Her response: “Mom, let’s go to Home Depot and buy a backyard!”
Ella, 4, Huntington Beach

• My son was talking to his teddy bear. I asked, “What are you doing?” He said, “My teddy bear is a great listener, and he can keep a secret.”
Noah, 5, Buena Park

• “We’re collecting books for an unfortunate school.”
Erin, 8, Santa Ana

• My 6-year-old asked, “What is college?” I replied, “What do you think college is?” She replied, “College is when you grow up and get your own place and talk to people.”
Chenjing, 6, Irvine

• Jasmine was looking at a world map, learning about various places. Her nanny pointed out Honduras, explaining that this is where she was born. Jasmine’s reply was, “I was born in a hospital!”
Jasmine, 3, Huntington Beach

• After a recent fire-safety presentation at school, Eryn carried a play candle over to her dad and pretended to touch him with it. She then ordered, “Daddy ... you are on fire. Stop, rock and roll!”
Eryn, 5, Santa Ana

• My daughter Alexia was carrying a doll, two stuffed animals and some beaded necklaces from her room. She announced proudly, “Look! I can walk around with all this stuff!” Just then, she tripped and fell without spilling her possessions. She then announced, “I can fall down with all this stuff!”
Alexia, 5, Santa Ana
