RA Sushi Bar Restaurant – with locations in Tustin, Huntington Beach and Corona – will host its sixth annual Nicky’s Week fundraiser May 30-June 5 to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
All 25 RA Sushi locations will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of certain food and beverage items to help treat and cure children with life-threatening illnesses.
Nicky’s Week was developed in memory of longtime St. Jude patient Nicholas “Nicky” Mailliard, of Scottsdale, Ariz., who lost a long battle with brain cancer in February 2005 at the young age of 13. A nephew of one of RA Sushi’s founders, Nicky holds a special place in the hearts of RA Sushi employees.
RA Sushi has raised more than $500,000 for St. Jude since the annual fundraiser began in 2005. The goal is to donate an additional $125,000 to the organization from the 2010 Nicky’s Week.
Special food and drink selections include: Edamame, Shrimp Nigiri, Tootsy Maki, Pork Gyoza, Tuna Tataki, Chicken Yakitori, FIJI Water, Red Bull, The Republic of Tea and other select beverages.
