The KIDA Summit on Autism will be held Saturday, May 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at UCI's Bren Events Center. Hosted by Autism Speaks, UC Irvine and CHOC Children’s the event will bring together experts and parents for an exchange of approaches and opinions on treatments. There will also be a book singing with actress and autism advocate Holly Robinson Peete.
It is now estimated that 1 of 90 children will be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ADS). The Summit on Autism will provide an informative forum of differing views on treatments to help parents to make informed decisions about what is the best, most effective care for their children.
The program is being presented in collaboration with UC Irvine and CHOC, is the vision of businessman Fariborz Maseeh. The program, Kids Institute for Development and Advancement (KIDA) is designed to be a fully integrated center of excellence for the treatment of ASD in Southern California. Achieving this center for excellence will require the support of other visionary leaders such as yourself in business, philanthropy, and community service and also every level of the public sector.
