Irvine-based Human Options, a nonprofit organization committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence, will present its major fundraising event on Friday, May 21 at the Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach. The event event is themed “Happy Days for Human Options,” will be a fun, festive time with a '50s theme, which includes entertainment, gourmet dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions.
The 2010 DOVE Award will be presented to Human Options supporters Artyn and Max Gardner. Former Righteous Brother member Lee Ferrell and Friends will provide the entertainment.
The video “For My Mother” will also premiere. This is a conversation with a leading Orange County business and community leader who speaks for the first time of his experiences of growing up with domestic violence.
Serious Fun tickets are $250 per person, table underwriting begins at $3,500 and other underwriting opportunities are available at various levels.
The Balboa Bay Club & Resort is located at 1221 West Coast Highway in Newport Beach. The event begins at 6 p.m.; attire is resort casual or 1950s vintage.
