MLB All-Star FanFest coming to Anaheim

The five-day event will offer a baseball amusement park for kids

By Jennifer ChinPublished: July, 2010

With the MLB All-Star FanFest around the corner, organizers are ramping up for the five-day event held July 9 to July 13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

FanFest will feature an interactive baseball amusement park and a Kids Day filled with kid-themed programming. Activities will promote exercise, healthy lifestyle and education.

The first 1,000 children will also receive a kid’s themed giveaway.

The event will occupy more than 450,000 square feet of space and will feature exhibits, attractions, MLB clinics and seminars. There will also be free autograph sessions with Angels legends and Hall of Famers.

Hall of Famer Rod Carew, and three-time All-Star Torii Hunter, will be the spokespeople for this year’s event.

“MLB All-Star FanFest is a family event that brings people closer to the sport and I am honored to be a part of it,” said Hunter.

Also confirmed to attend are Angels legends Chuck Finley, Wally Joyner and Tim Salmon.

All FanFest activities are included with flat-rate admission. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for children 12-and-under, senior citizens and military personnel. Children 2 and under are admitted free. Concessions and souvenirs are sold separately.

A FanFest Super Value Pack is also available. For $110, fans receive four MLB All-Star FanFest tickets, four hot dogs and four 12-ounce sodas.

Discounts of $5 off each ticket purchased will be given to those who purchase MLB All-Star FanFest Family Pack, sold in sets of four or more.

The event, which serves as the launch for MLB All-Star Week, concludes with the 81st MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 13 at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Tickets for the FanFest and other All-Star events can be purchased on the official All-Star website, the Angels website, at the ticket windows adjacent to the Home Plate gate at Angel Stadium, or by calling 1-888-FanFest (326-3378).
