Beginning Mother’s Day, May 11, Whirlpool will host its 4th-annual Mother of Invention Grant Program. Whirlpool, which sells appliances, has recognized and helped more than 15 moms turn their innovative ideas into reality. Inventing solutions have included eliminating the monster under our beds to creating a recipe that will incorporate broccoli into our diets. Whirlpool is looking for the next mom who will make a difference. The Grand Prize is $20,000; other cash prizes will be awarded. Entries are open through July 31; go to: whirlpool.com/moms beginning May 11.
