The Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host its annual Super CPR Day, one of the nation’s largest CPR training events. BREATHE A LITTLE EASIER
Attention high school seniors with asthma! If you have the grades (3.5 GPA or higher), you could win the Schering-Plough’s “Will to Win” college scholarship, an award that demonstrates to young asthma sufferers that the condition, when properly treated and managed, need not affect their ability to excel.

But you have to hurry. The deadline to apply is April 30 in order to be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship in any of the following categories: athletics, performing arts, visual arts, community service and science. schering-ploughwilltowin.com.

LAUNCH A DREAM
Are you raising a budding entrepreneur, artist or philanthropist? Then you must check out Huntington Beach-based amazing-kids.org, a nonprofit dedicated to helping kids realize their potential. Celebrating its 10th year, the award-winning Web site has showcased the ideas of children across the nation for projects that include activism, the arts, philanthropic efforts and more.

Amazing Kids! Founder Alyse Rome says, “The initiative was born out of kids’ need for help preparing for their future.” The Launch My Dream!  initiative provides hope and hands-on assistance, improving their odds for success.
