![]() Breast augmentation Breast Augmentation can be a great choice for women seeking to increase the fullness of their breasts due to a small size, asymmetry or changes following weight loss or pregnancy. The procedure lasts one to two hours and is performed at an outpatient surgery center, allowing you to go home the same day. For the first two days following surgery, you will want to rest and take it easy. By the fifth to seventh day, most of my patients are back to normal everyday activities, including driving. After two to three weeks, activities such as walking on a treadmill or light house cleaning may be introduced into your daily routine. Most patients can expect a full recovery by six weeks, which allows lifting and strenuous activity. Liposuction Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, therefore improving your body contours and proportion. This procedure is excellent for removing unwanted fat from areas resistant to diet and exercise. The majority of liposuction cases are performed as an outpatient procedure lasting up to a few hours. At the time of surgery, my patients are placed into a compression garment (similar to a girdle), which will be worn up to several weeks after surgery. This garment is easily disguised under regular clothing, especially during cooler months. Patients can expect to shower and be walking around within a day after surgery. Within a week, most of my patients are completing everyday tasks such as cooking, picking up the kids and grocery shopping with ease. High impact activity, such as running, usually is achieved within four to six weeks. Eyelid surgery Also known as Blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both, and gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert. This procedure can be done in the office under local anesthesia or an outpatient surgery center with sedation. Surgery lasts one to three hours, depending on which areas are treated. You will need to take it easy for the first two to three days, then increasing your activity over the rest of the week. Sutures are usually removed within seven days, and make-up can be applied after the incisions are closed. A full recovery can be expected in three to four weeks. These are just a few procedures available that offer great results with a short recovery.
