![]() While I love looking through their baby books and seeing photos of their first teeth, first steps and first birthdays, there is no comparison to actually getting to hear your child’s voice as a toddler and preschooler, once they are all grown up. Not just the words, but the pitch, the urgency and the authentic record of their voice at that age is simply priceless. It’s like going back in time. Needless to say, we, like all new parents, had our camcorder handy at all times. As a result, we caught some candid moments on tape. One such moment, my firstborn falling asleep at the kitchen table while eating an Oreo, was actually selected to be included on the first-ever episode of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” Unfortunately that was before they started offering prize money! Didn’t matter to me, though. There was my child on national TV! Better yet, the producers of the TV show compiled their favorite clips in a “best of” version of the popular program on a VHS tape for sale in all the major retail stores (I’m dating myself with the reference to VHS). Ever the proud mother, I’ve posted that short segment on the brand new video player on ocfamily.com. Click on FUNNY KIDS and look for the short clip titled “A long day for Anthony” to see it. Now it’s your turn! We’re ready to feature YOUR child on the home page of ocfamily.com. Let us see that piano recital performance, that winning soccer goal or those just plain silly baby moments you caught on video. Then pop some popcorn, pull up a chair, and enjoy! |
