![]() Walnut chocolate chip cookies 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1 cup chocolate chips 1 cup brown sugar 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour mixed with 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt Use a 1-quart Mason jar to layer the ingredients in the order listed. Press each layer firmly into place before adding the next ingredient. Attach the following recipe to the jar: Empty cookie mix into a large mixing bowl and stir to combine. Add 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter at room temperature (not melted), 1 slightly beaten egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until completely blended. Roll heaping tablespoons into balls. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350ºF for 13 to 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes on the baking sheet then remove to wire racks to cool completely. The cookies firm up when completely cooled. Enjoy! Yields three dozen cookies.
