2-6 years old:
> ‘Pochahontas’ (1997) – “The story of an immensely capable young Native American woman”
> ‘Mulan’ (1998) – “Shows every girl how to reach even beyond what she might have thought herself capable of”
1st through 3rd grade:
> ‘Ever After’ (1998) – “It beautifully shows Cinderella surviving and succeeding.”
> ‘Fairy Tale: A True Story’ (1996) – A photograph of actual fairies taken by two young English girls catches the attention of a couple of famous historical figures.
4th through 6th grade:
> ‘Princess Mononoke’ (1999) – “A Japanese epic of a girl who must help save the forest”
> ‘The Little Princess’ (1998) – “A story of a girl who goes to live with other girls in an orphanage after the death of her father. Many good lessons are learned.”
