Our staff at OC Family magazine knows the conflicts and rewards of being a working mom.
We
have six working mothers on our immediate staff: Renee Lefebvre,
account executive; Kari Wirtz, art director; Tracey Shackleford,
account executive; Susan Vega, senior account executive; Debbie
Templeton, account executive; and Juanita Garner, account executive.
We asked our team for their best tip for bringing it all together. Here’s what they said:
•
Take a lunch break and use that hour to attend to any personal things.
If you are able to do that five days a week, that is five extra hours
with your children on the weekend. – Renee
• Make sure to take time for yourself, whether it's 20 minutes a day or girls night every two weeks. – Kari
• Make time to enjoy your kids! They grow up way too quickly! – Tracey
• Pick out clothes the night before; it's a must. – Susan
• Keep a calendar/schedule on the refrigerator, making it visible to the entire family. – Debbie
• Prepare as much as you can the night before; it seems to make my day a little easier. – Juanita
