Every year for the past 10 years, OC Family editors have published a roster of the most accomplished Orange County high school seniors in our annual Shining Students issue. This year, our 11th year compiling this much-anticipated list, we decided to broaden our coverage to include students from kindergarten through 12th grade who are doing amazing things. They are all-star athletes and academic whizzes. They are flying airplanes and racing cars! And while these young people bring such varied talents to our pages, at the root of their success are the same two things: parents and teachers who nurture them.
