(discoverycube.org) Jared Fogle of SUBWAYIt’s hard to believe, but it’s been 10 years since Jared Fogle first announced the dramatic details of his weight loss to the world. At 425 pounds, Jared had tried and failed at dozens of diets until he embarked on a reduced-calorie plan that included eating 2 submarine sandwiches a day from SUBWAY.The result was a whopping 245-pound weight loss for Jared – and an innovative ad campaign for SUBWAY that had many rethinking their diet plans. Since that first commercial, millions of Americans have joined Jared’s battle of the bulge – with their collective efforts reaching a combined weight-loss total of 160,000 pounds. Jared has recently announced his plans to partner with New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan to launch a program for The Jared Foundation, which will equip parents and kids with the tools to fight childhood obesity. fam Marie Loggia-Kee is a contributing writer to OC Family Magazine. |
