The First Congregation Church’s School Programs is a Christian-based pre-school, kindergarten and summer camp (June through September). Each program is designed to provide a Christian atmosphere in which children can learn and grow. We use the A Beka Books Christian Curriculum, which stresses a back-to-basics approach to teaching.

Established to provide an educational alternative to traditional daycare programs, First School Montessori furnishes high-quality education and activities to children ages 2 to 6. Children at First School learn at a pace developed to match their abilities and motivations, and we teach each child as a unique individual. Children in our program learn to think for themselves, rather than rely on rote memorization.

Our school provides children ages 2 through 7 with a challenging and enriching Montessori curriculum, which gives them the freedom to develop a true love of learning that will last a lifetime. The classrooms are well organized and have a cozy feel, and our outdoor area includes playground equipment, as well as grass and sand areas. All of our lead teachers are Montessori trained.

Our fun-filled Summer School has a balance of traditional preschool structured learning mixed with “fun in the sun” Water Days-where the children get to wear their bathing suits and participate in fun water activities such as, sprinklers, water slides, shallow wading pools, and messy, muddy fun! Half Day 9:00 – 12:00 a.m. or Extended Day 9:00 – 1:30 p.m. two days (Mon./Wed. or Tues./Thurs.) or four days (Mon. – Thurs.) a week.
