Although

Atlantis Play Center in Garden Grove: There is a cash-only entrance fee to play on the dated equipment. It’s overcrowded, the restroom facilities are not maintained and trash is littered throughout the park.

Cedar Grove Park in Tustin: If the West Nile virus warning signs aren’t a deterrent, the trash is. There are several trash cans throughout the park, but they are always overfilled and spilling onto the playgrounds. The restrooms are never maintained, and the parking lot is small. The planters closest to the picnic tables and the playground are constantly flooded.

Central Park in Rancho Santa Margarita: Parking is limited here, the playground is not fenced in and it’s close to a busy street. The playground is across the street from a junior high, and the area is often flooded with skateboarders.

Main Beach Park in Laguna Beach: The tower in the middle is very hard for adults to access and there is often a traffic jam with kids trying to go up and down the ladders at the same time, so it would be easy for a child to fall down. Several elements on the play structure are slippery, so it’s really not that safe for kids under 7.

Pioneer Park in Tustin: The park is nice, but the all-metal climbing structure is scalding on a hot day.

Pittsford Park in Lake Forest: Shade is limited at this playground, and the equipment needs repair.

Sigler Park Splash Pad in Westminster: Parking is a nightmare, and the park is overcrowded and filled with litter.
