My pup is going to be the ring bearer in my upcoming wedding and needs a more formal look. I’m embarrassed to say that although I craft, I don’t know how to sew, so I found great directions on how to make him a no-sew puppy bow tie. You can make this for any size dog and even for the man in your life.

Materials
• 5-by-5-inch piece of fabric
• 4.5-by-4.5-inch piece of fabric
• 3-by-1.5-inch piece of fabric
• 2.5-by-20-inch piece of fabric
• Scissors
• Fabric glue
• 1.5-inch piece of Velcro tape
• Measuring tape
• Iron and ironing table

Directions

Step 1: Measure the circumference of your dog’s neck and add 2 inches. Cut the 2.5-by-20-inch piece of fabric to that length. This creates the collar.

Step 2: Create hems for the four pieces of fabric by folding all edges over about one-quarter inch. Iron the folds, glue the sides down and let dry.

Step 3: With the fabric sides up, place the 4.5-by-4.5-inch piece on top of the 5-by-5-inch piece. Pinch the center of both pieces together to create three small creases on either side. This creates the bow. Add glue where the fabric is pinched to keep the bow intact. Hold together until dry.

Step 4: Fold your collar in half lengthwise, fabric side facing out. Glue the folded sides together.

Step 5: Glue the bow to the center of the collar. Let dry.

Step 6: Wrap the 3-by-1.5-inch piece around the point where the bow and collar meet. Glue that in place and let dry.

Step 7: Place the rough side of the Velcro on top of one end of the collar and glue in place. Place the soft side of the Velcro on the bottom of the other end of the collar and glue in place. Let dry.
