Halloween isn’t just for trick-or-treating and bobbing for apples. Having a party? Surprise your friends with one of these tasty cocktails. All can be adapted to suit the little ones in your family.
Monster Mimosa
Champagne
Orange juice
Two plastic or gummy eyeballs
Directions:
1. In a Champagne glass, mix half Champagne with half orange juice.
2. Spear two gummy eyeballs on a toothpick and place across the top or float two plastic eyeballs in the drink.
3. Serve.
Mini Monster Mocktail:
1. Omit the Champagne and use ginger ale. Depending on the age of the child, it may not be safe to use a plastic eyeball garnish. Maybe stick to something gummy!
Poison Apple Martini
Slime ring ingredients:
1 tablespoon corn syrup
2 drops red food coloring
Red sprinkles
Directions:
1. Mix the corn syrup with the food coloring.
2. Pour the corn syrup mixture on a round plate.
3. Dip the rim of the martini glass into the mixture.
4. Dip the rim into red sprinkles. They should stick!
Martini ingredients:
1 ounce green apple schnapps
2 ounces vodka
11/2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions:
1. In a cocktail shaker with ice, add martini ingredients; cover and shake vigorously.
2. Strain into a martini glass.
3. Serve.
Poison Apple Mocktail:
Leave slime ring as is. For drink, use 2 ounces apple juice and 1 ounce canned guava juice.
Pumpkin Spiced Cocktail
1/4 cup apple cider
2 ounces of vodka
Garnish: 1 apple, unpeeled, cored, thinly sliced
Directions:
1. In a cocktail shaker with ice, add apple cider and vodka; cover and shake vigorously.
2. Strain into glass and add a slice of apple on top.
Pumpkin Spiced Mocktail:
Use 2 ounces apple juice and 1 ounce pineapple juice or mango juice.
