Sunday

Explore science, technology, engineering, art, math and music at the Children’s Garden Workshops in an outdoor environment. Attendees will connect the natural world with their daily lives, deepening their understanding of and appreciation for nature. 9-11 a.m. every second Sunday of the month at Orange County Great Park, Farm + Food Lab, 6950 Marine Way, Irvine. Experience thunderous taiko drums and Chinese hand drums along with graceful traditional dances from Korea and Vietnam. Surf City Nights in Huntington Beach is when three blocks of Main Street close to traffic and open to fun. Shops spread out with sidewalk sales, the streets fill with vendors, and farmers set up with fresh, seasonal produce and flowers. 5-9 p.m. every Tuesday. Admission is free. surfcitynights.com

The Crazy 8s Club is an after-school club for students in kindergarten through second grade. It lets kids build stuff, run and jump, make music and even a mess.
