Create an Effortless Holiday Centerpiece
It's official. The "holidays" have arrived. Time for big meals, decorations and family gatherings! Stress. I can't tell you what to do about those family members (you know the ones) but I can help simplify the decorations with this effortless tip. Combine your dessert (or favors) and centerpiece. Instead of wasting money on a centerpiece you can only use once opt for pumpkin pie, apple crisp and key lime on cute cake stands on one end of the table or line up frosted cupcakes and walnut brownies down the center (is your mouth watering yet?!?). This year for our Halloween centerpiece I used a simple vase filled with black beans from my pantry and our Halloween party favors. Easy! After the party the favors will be taken, the vase can go back on the shelf, and those beans will be in a tortilla soup!
